Novation ReMote USB/Audio driver problem new
      #405119 - 12/01/07 07:17 PM
Hi all

New to this forum, so HI! - I have a queston regarding the USB/Audio driver I have installed onto Windows XP Sp2.

The driver's for a Novation ReMote 25 and every once in a while straight after switching the keyboard on I get a balloon popup from the taskbar that says "one of the usb devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned"

Any ideas what's causing the problem?

Many thanks

which driver version you using?

I know they released a new "universal" driver for most products recently.

It works pretty well, although I found a problem when I was trying to use that together with the remote, Xstation and Xio at the same time. Had to install the specific Xio driver after the universal one in order to make them all work.

anyway.. try the latest one, if it works, then good. Otherwise go with an older version, and see if it works better on your system. :-)

Thanks. I downloaded the latest ReMote driver from the novation website just the other day after I started getting this problem but it did not solve it. The HDD also appears to do something whenever I turn the keyboard on - like it's looking for something - it usually takes 10-15 seconds before it stops. So I updated my BIOS and everything appears to be ok. HDD doesn't make a sound sweet. Thanks for the input.
