Anyone been to abbey road? new
      #39673 - 22/10/04 10:02 PM
Considering using it for a stereo mastering job. Being abbey road, I would trust the quality on reputation alone, but it is about 40% more expensive than alchemy, where I was also looking at!
Any advice?
Cheers.

I bet i could live off the interest on your savings.
Given the opportunity, of course.

Abbey road, indeed!

Want to buy a copy of steinberg clean for £20?

I had an E.P Mastered their onto vinyl, but sadly I didn't attend. The cut was pretty good, nice and smooth. I think it was shaun who did it.

Is what you planning to have mastered for CD or Vinyl?

Hey Alex. How ya doing. Is this for our chameleon like friends?? Sounds like you're really going for it there.

Suggest you give Parr Street studios a try in Liverpool too.

My friends in Fag Ash Lil went there recently to record their new album and I know the guy who has the bar above it. He's a die hard muso and really rates the place too. Coldplay and many others record there. They have a good reputation.

Cheers

Alright Andy!
Cheers mate i'll check them out on monday.

Yes, the masterings for the Gecko album. Final recording & mixing is booked for 12-19th Dec. Booked out a massive house on top of a big hill in the peak district, middle of nowhere, pub down the road. Should be quite an enjoyable experience!

Hey fantastic. Sounds very rock n roll.

Good luck mate. I'm available for tea making duties at least one day. Not that I expect you'll be drinking much of that

Cheers

Andy

Attended a mastering job there a few years back - was good enough but job itself could have been done in plenty of other places... went there for the obvious reasons, and had some mates rates...

lacking you having personals with an engineer at a particular place, maybe try checking both out and go on instinct.. ?
