"The Ronnie Hazelhurst Chord"

Does anyone know what I'm on about here?
There's a particular chord shape on
the keyboard that instantly brings back memories of the "hanging" chord at the end of a
scene change jingle in light 1970s situation comedies... usually on vibes or something.
From what I remember it's something similar to elements of a D major triad in the RH with
a C Major in the LH, but with a couple of intervals missing.
I've forgotten how
to find it, and no amount of scrabbling on the keyboard sounds right now...

Iknow the type of thing you mean but I'm having to guess here: It'll either be D/C
(C, A D F#), or C6/9/#11 (C G E A D F#). Does that help?
Dave. (it was the type of chord Ron Grainer used to use a lot in his film soundtracks)
-------------------- Lots of Ataris which keep on going, 12 Kurzweil 1000 modules, a bunch of hardware synths. Still recording to tape -the old ways are best.....

back when the soap operas over here employed organists to do live sound tracks often a
diminised and/or augmented chords were used for transitional tensioning... that #11 is a
good one as well... when used as discribed with the 13 (6th) it basicly just outlines all
the tones in a partcular key... think lydian...

Could be a chord derived from the Melodic Minor. Loads of
Mancini/James Bond type scores and tunes are based on the Melodic Minor.

could be alotta things pabs... but it seems to me that with a root of C and the only
accidental being the F#... sounds like a IV chord in G with all the possible extensions...
hence my suggestion to think lydian...
