Hi has anyone tried any of these T.Bone dynamic mics for recording? http://www.thomann.de/gb/t-bone_mb85.htmhttp://www.thomann.de/gb/the_tbone_mb85_beta.htmI'm also
interested in this condenser http://www.thomann.de/gb/the_tbone_mb78_beta.htmI worked
with a West End session band in London a few months back and they were using the T.Bone
MB85 beta's and they sounded great live. I'm looking for a cheap dynamic mic for vocals to
compliment my current:- Rode NT-1a MXL V67g Studio Projects B1 T.Bone RM700 (ribbon) I've also heard great things about the Shure SM57 and
Sennheiser E840. These are out of my budget because I only have around £30 to spend.

I see you already have one T-Bone mic. Any good? I haven't tried these dynamic ones, but I
do own a matched pair of T-Bone pencil condensers (SC140) which give a pretty good sound
when used to close-mic a guitar. However they are noisier than my other condensers so if
they are not set up quite close then I run into trouble. All in all I can't complain
because they were only £70 for the pair, with a nice case, stereo mic stand adaptor and
shockmounts.

my general thought on T.Bone
its Tescos value
but I can make a
killer chilli using Tesco value chopped tomatoes!
I havn't used the
dynamics listed but i've never used a t.bone which wasnt brilliant considering the price!

I've not had much time to use the RM700 yet as I've had a lot of programming work on
recently. I'm probably going to get one of these but am unsure which one to get? I want
something that's gonna have a smooth darker high end for real screaming vocalists?

This is
out of my price range. I'm pretty limited to £30ish.
What would the
difference between the MB85 beta (dynamic) and MB78 beta (condenser) be?

Just found that T.Bone make a mic based on the SM57 :- http://www.thomann.de/gb/the_tbone_mb75.htmI was
originally looking for this one but couldn't find it on the website. Would this
be a better option than the three I listed above?

I spoke to the UK sales person at Thomann and he recommended the mb85 beta as the best
option for recording vocals out of the T.Bone mics.
I recently noticed that Digital
Village are selling the Sennheiser E840 for £55. This is nearly double what I intended to
spend.
Has anyone had experience with both of these mics? I read a review of the
T.Bone mb85 beta against the Shure SM58 and the T.Bone came out favourably!

Warning: E840 is NOT dark. If anything
it has a slightly enhanced hi end over a 57 or a 58, but suited my voice for live work.
