SHOW ME YOUR SH*T!!!!!!

So I guess that got your attention... I lead a fairly quiet life now that I
have moved back to England from Canada after spending 4 years in Vancouver and Whistler
bumming around playing restaurants and bars with my trusted Epiphone Acoustic. I bit the
bullet and stumbled onto the treadmill that is the 9-5 and sitting at my desk at work
salivating over Digital Village and filling my head with not-so-useless knowledge from
this fantastic forum. So, I thought, let's have a thread that isn't bombarded
with technical stuff, reviews or comparisons, I want to keep it simple: Show me
your workspace. I'm very interested to see people's set-up, be it a table with
a laptop with a mic plugged in, or be it an entire room, soundproofed and bursting at the
seams with racks, instruments and microphones everywhere... Let me into your house (not
literally, atleast until you know me) and let me have a peek. I'm sure it will give me
some ideas and raise some questions that I wouldn't normally have thought of. Finger.

im amateur (not making a living from it) so its a bit shoddy, but what the hell! i have a 3 tier keyboard rack with wooden planks to hold things on the lower
plank has my korg kontrol 49, the next plank positioned over this has my macbook (early
model) and the next plank above this to the left has my motu traveler the
traveler feeds my krk rockit 5 active monitors which are at head level on a shelf above my
keyboard stand next shelf holds my firewire hub, fw hard drive, usb backup hard
drive, m-audio midisport interface and a big brick shaped box with manuals for logic
studio. i have a few filing things around with chord books for guitar and
piano, a beatles songbook and various sound on sound magazines a rack of
guitars in the corner...1 nice fender acoustic, 1 crappy acoustic from argos that i dont
mind battering around for songwriting, 1 electro acoustic casino guitar (not mine but on
loan from a friend), a rickenbacker 330 jangly electro acoustic guitar that i dont like
the sound of anymore, a cheap electric guitar which was my first at 15! lol and a fretless
bass which was given to me in poor condition which i got fixed and now plays like a
dream! then i have a cupboard full of leads, more stands, tools, adaptors and
what nots a few boxes of mics, superlux 7 mic drum set, pair of se electronics
Se3's and a behringer b2pro (my one mic regret but its doing surprisingly ok) also an sm57
and sm58 cant wait to finish uni, move out of the family home and get a really
nice setup! buts its getting me by so far www.myspace.com/audioartistrecordingim sure most people on
this board have so much gear that they dont have time to be describe it all to you! so whats your setup? lew

Well, Let me start by saying that I was quite looking forward to seeing
PICTURES of people's set-ups, but I guess I should have made myself clear on that one,
it's the actual visual aspect that I am interested in, just for shoots and giggles... but
please by all means list it if you are unable to provide a picture My set-up is pants at the moment. And when I say pants I mean really pants. I have: Yamaha Clavinova CLP240PE Electric Piano Martin 15 series 000-15 Acoustuic
Guitar Squier Stratocaster Epiphone Acoustic Guitar Shaftesbury Les Paul
Custom Pod Laney Linebacker Amp Yamaha UW500 USB/Personal Studio Dell
1.87ghz 2gig ram laptop (very) soon to have: Cubase SE3 (+ studio
case II) Audio Technica 4033 condenser mic DMP3 Mic preamp and then
for monitors I am completely torn between HS50M's (with HS10W woofer) and RP5's (with
RP10S woofer) (could use some help with that actually). BUT POST PICS
EVERYONE!!!! Finger.

think my manager might be getting suspicous as to why I have a giant revolving recording
studio on my screen. Oh well....
Very nice Steve, very nice! I love the White

Yeah, mine sounds good, but take a closer
look at the head, it's broken and has odd, badly fitted tuning keys.

I believe people often mod them. The
stock pickups they ship with don't have a good reputation and are often swapped out for
something less dull sounding. (I also owned 2 of their guitars).
Looks like
this one underwent some accidental modification at some stage.

Below where you type in your post, you will see a column titled Instant UBB Code. Clck on
the one that says Image and then type in (or copy and paste) the URL (web address) of the
image.
You can use something like flickr.com to host the images.
