My local HMV and Zavvi have barred me!!

How can I find the production information usually given in the notes of an album cd?
ie; writer, producer/production company, relevent management co's, A&R, Record co,
etc etc.
My local record shops are fed up with opening countless security cases
for me, only to get an occasional sale, and now refuse.
Are the sleeve notes
published anywhere else?

Quite often all the information is on the band's websites.

It's hard not to sympathise with the record shops. I guess it's a consequence of
downloading... they are reduced to being librarians!

Supprisingly thats not the case.
I just tried 3 at random, Take that, Any
Winehouse, Westlife, and got nothing
I can't think why a band website wouldn't give
such info, but they dont.

Join PPL as a "record label" and then you can look this stuff up in the CatCo database!

Just out of interest, why do you need the information?
The Music Week directory
lists practically all current bands (and older ones, too) and contains their management
details - that could be a good start.

Hello, I always use the Discogs website, if I can't find information on the
Artist's website. For example, here is a link to the credits, for the
afore-mentioned Amy Winehouse's "Back to Black". http://www.discogs.com/release/902465

I find the infomation essential as part of the industry jigsaw of who's doing what and
represented by who when considering pitching what to whom.
