Memory deal at Micro Anvika on new G5s

Bought a G5 D2.0.
Micro Anvika are doing a deal which they say is 1GB of memory
for £75 but in the 2 x 512MB format, i.e. needs 2 slots.
I wanted 2GB and the
guy just charged me £75 for 1 x 1GB stick, and I paid £199 for the second stick. Seemed
like quite a good deal to me so wanted to let y'all know.

Cheers for that, I need some ram for my G5. 512 Mb is a bit poor for a
£2000ish machine.

OK, This might sound daft but I've just looked on www.microanvika.com and I can't find any offers. Could you post
us a link?

Dunno about what's on their website but I walked into the Tottenham Court Road shop a
couple of weeks ago and walked out with 2 gig of very fairly priced RAM! Er... phone
them?

You can't find it on their site cos it ain't on there. And the deal is only available
when you buy the machine from them.
I just walked into the 16 Tottenham Store
because they sell the G5 D2.0 for £30 less than the Apple store and Apple memory is silly
prices obviously.
They have the offer on the screens of the Apple displays on
the right as you walk in. The offer says 1GB for £75 supplied as 2x512. I wanted to add
2GB memory. As its already got 2x256 in it taking the 2x512 would mean I would buy
another 2x512 (£79.99 each) and I've used 6 of my 8 slots. I told the salesman that i
only wanted the 1GB sticks and even though the screen showed the price of the 1GB sticks
at £199, he just went to his special offer screen, typed in £75 against a 1GB stick, and
then gave me another one for the £199.
So its worth a visit if you are buying
a new G5.
