Can't find any logic boards. new

The logic board on my G5 died a while back and the guy thats going to fix it is having a nightmare of a time trying to find one. Is there a shortage in the uk?

Each revision is slightly different
- so that is one for the single 1.6, one for the 1.8, 2.0, Dual 1.8, dual...... ( you get the picture ! )
Then theres PCI & PCI-X versions,
Then you have fan / air cooled or water-cooled

So the chances of finding EXACTLY the right one are slim.

Buy another G5 & sell your dead one without the HD
- its usually cheaper and quicker.

even apple dont have enough g5 logic boards for their warranty repairs .

there are numerous cases where they replace old g5s with mac pro's under warranty because of this..

your best bet is ebay, but you will pay nearly as much as a complete working second hand g5 tower !
