Hi

After creating a project with quite a quite a few instances (maybe 15+) of the VSL plugin my Logic8 files won't open. This problem has occured the last three times Ive used Vienna Insturments SE - other projects without Vienna Insturments dont suffer from this problem. I have 10GB RAM and two quad cores on a Mac Pro so i dont think this is a performance issue. Also the only other plugins Im using on these projects are space designer and the logic EQ so I don't think the problem is occurring due to anther 3rd party plugin. I have tried disable-ing the VSL plugin in the AU manager - once I do this I'm once again able to re-open the projects that I couldnt before hand.

I have contacted VSL support and gone through the usual things: updates etc, but still no luck.

I'm really tearing my hair out with this now. If anyone has experienced this or has any suggestions please let me know...

This came up not long ago with someone else, I seem to remember.

The only advice I could give was to try removing any unused USB devices etc. The only time this happened to me (and I too was stumped for a long time), it was because I had inadvertently left an iPod charging. As soon as I removed this everything returned to normal.

Thanks for replying. Unfortunately all my USB devices are part of my setup... Might be worth giving it a go though...
