They aren't amazing but for the price you can't really complain. The first thing to go will be the foam pad that stops the boom from drooping. And it will go quickly. You will need to take especially good care of these or they will last for less than a year.

And I wouldn't trust any mic worth over £300 on them.

To be honest I was planning to use two of them as T-shaped frames to hang duvets on them and place them in a wide V formation behind a vocalist ...

third one in front of the vocalist

Perfect use for them.

I bought some for our village hall a year or so back, and they are, well, worth what you pay for them.

I have some, and at the same time bought some of the more expensive K&M stands from Thomman, and the Milleniums are actually more reliable - the K&Ms have proven themselves next to useless as the booms keep collapsing with anything heavier than a NT5 on it. The Milleniums clamp better, although i agree the foam padding weakens quickly.

I also like the fact the Milleniums have 2 mic clips on them. You get what you pay for, but in this case with the Ms you get more bang for buck than K&Ms.

Tama make excellent stands. I have had some for 15 years and they're as stable as the day I bought them. Way better than K&M.

Ah, THAT'S what they are! I was given one for free when I bought a couple of mics last year, and yeah, I've found the two-clip thing to be very handy (particularly for double-mic'ing acoustic guitars, and singing acoustic players live). Not the sturdiest stands, but be fine for general light use.
