Hello peeps. I cant get the edit channel window to appear in cubase 5. when i click on the
e button. The e buton lights up but the pop up never happens.I have minimized the project,
and changed the resolution, which incidentally i have had to do for my transport bar
several times as this has a tendency to just disappear ? This is a real pain especially
the e button as this is used an awful lot. Anyone else had this problem this is quite
frankly a ridicolous bug and STEINBERG i hope your paying ATTENTION. This is basic stuff
!!!
Thanks in advance

I've not noticed this happening myself, but I can see it must be very annoying for you.
I'm not sure that you can justifiably call it a bug, though. If it was happening to
everyone, fair enough, but if that was the case, I think it would have been getting some
serious attention at Cubase.net. More likely, you just need to track down what is causing
it to happen.
As for demanding that Steninberg pay attention, even assuming
that it is their fault, this may not really be the place. Try demanding it on Steinberg's
own forums.

If anyone else has this problem please follow these instructions from steinberg.....Please
close Cubase and go to START>Programs>Steinberg Cubase 5 > Cubase 5 Application
Data Folder and delete all the files you will find on the pop-up window. After
that please repeat the same procedure but for Cubase 4: START>Programs>Steinberg Cubase 4 > Cubase 4 Application Data Folder.
Thankyou

Giles:
Probably not much help for you, but in Cubase 4 (4.52) the Edit Window
(and Transport) are "Always On Top" for me. I am not sure if that is a setting that I set
a long time ago and it still persists, or if that is the default behavior.
Glad
you got it sorted out however.

You see. You post on Steinberg's own forum and, lo and behold, they pay attention.
