A tricky problem...
      #785388 - 06/11/09 10:30 PM

I have a bit of an unusual request for assistance... I know its a bit out-there, but bear with me...

I have a track which is in the middle of being arranged and recorded about a natural disaster that wipes out life on earth (yeah, cheerful, I know... ) and one of the chaps who wrote it suggested using audio news type clips at the intro... the kind of news reportage type stuff that was in Deep Impact and Armageddon... only very short clips, a few seconds each, but ones that could be faded in and out...

I dont think I can use soundtrack stuff from the two films mentioned above, but there may be other news clips out there or other "fictional news" stuff out there that I could negotiate use of.... mustnt there?

Can anyone steer me in the right general direction?

Thanks in advance

Surely the easiest solution is to come up with a few fictional news headlines and record some people reading them out in suitably awed tones. We';re in such a multi-cultural society nowadays that you ought to be able to find various accents comparatively easily.

At least this avoids copyright problems!

Totally the way to do it!

You could also google 'famous speeches' and you should be able to find suitable bits.

I will do Martin, but it might be a while... in the middle of yet another system rebuild after the C: drive decided to shred itself last week...!
