Magic Mouse
      #787589 - 15/11/09 10:59 PM
Hi all,

Just wondering whether anyone is using the new Magic Mouse yet? I'm thinking about making the jump (if my bank manager lets me! It's a bit expensive!) My mighty mouse has begun to really annoy me so at some point i'll be doing the disassembley cleaning routine thingy on it.

But yes, any opinions on the magic mouse? I had a quick play on one (10 mins or so) in Saturn in Hanover last week and must say it felt great, the only complaints i've read about are not being able to access expose and dashboard off it, which i turned off on my mighty mouse anyway. I'm just wondering about long term usage of it as it is so flat.

Thanks,
Stef

The Register has a good review here. Personally I've always used MS or Logitek mice. Apple may make good computers but they make crap mice. Maybe (maybe ...) this one will be better.

I am on my first mac, but I absolutely love it, and have not even scratched the surface of its use yet.

Still trying to get used to the small difference of SL and windows.

The scrolling hori and vert is wonderful.

Hi
Although there's lots of stuff via Google or Youtube, here's Apple cleaning page:

Loving it here, we bought two, will probably get another next week. It's very intuitive to use and you get a lot LESS RSI side effects than using a regular scrolling mouse or MM. Plus there are no moving parts to get clogged.
Note: the cool (iPhone like) 'scrolling momentum' feature only works with Snow Leopard.
