Fitting a USB trackball to my ST.
      #813571 - 21/02/10 12:55 PM
Hi,

Can this be done. Sure Ive heard of it before. How much does it cost roughly?

Does it improve control in cubase 3.1? Biggest thing I hate is the fact the cursor does what it wants in edit view.
Feels very clumbersome to control. I dont remember it ever being like this and think it is no doubt down to the 10 pence mouse I have.

Will fitting a trackball fix this?

I don't use the Atari mice these days, but if a standard USB mouse can be used, maybe a trackball can too. I use the PeST interface along with a USB optical mouse and USB to PS/2 adapter. It costs £20 and if you want one, I would quickly put in an order with the maker Alison Challis. She is currently very busy making lots of Atari stuff to order right now, and I know that she spent the other week fulfilling her PeST orders. If you ask her nicely and maybe send a postcard too (she loves receiving them), I am sure she will fit in another PeST for you!

Website where you can find PeST info and Aly's email address to send your order request.
