First set of demos, about to start a second. Any advice?

Hi everyone,

My band recorded our first set of demos borrowing some semi-decent equipment from friends. We are about to start our second lot of demos and wondered if anyone could give us tips on recording and mixing.

We are an indie band from London, so I understand our music won't be liked by all, but any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I should add, the drums on the first demos are an electric roland kit so please bare that in mind. The new demo will be using a realy kit.

Hi Ed,

This isn't bad at all. For a demo its fine. It gets the songs across.
There are some small timing errors and its all a little thin.
Not enough oomph in the bass and kit department.
You don't always need to pan your guitars left and right. Experiment with your panning a bit more. Sometimes right down the middle works just as well. I have a free offer on at the moment if you are interested.
