ART SLA-2 Power Amp new

Has anyone used/have experience of the ART SLA-2 Power Amp. It would be for powering studio nearfields. Here is a link to the product on Digital Village

It is fan cooled so not suitable for use in the same room as your speakers in my opinion. I've never heard of a serious studio amplifier being fan cooled so I wonder if they made a mistake with the thermal calculations and ended up having to fit fans to fix a design problem?
