Advert Encroachment
      #846884 - 15/07/10 02:58 PM
I've noticed that the advertising block to the right of the web page encroaches noticeably upon article pictures when you click to enlarge them. In the case of the Faust interview, I was unable to read part of the legend underneath as it was obscured by the advert.

All apologies if this has question has been posted before but is this just me or have other people spotted this?

I tried it just now and the photos covered up the ads.

Unless it's a problem with that specific article. I'd check but I'm not a subscriber; I just buy the magazine when I've saved up enough pennies.

Re: Faust article - Advert Encroachment new [Re: sigod]

Hi Sigod,

This isn't a general problem, otherwise we'd have received more alerts from unhappy readers. I've just checked the article on Mac Safari and Firefox and all's well, viewing it in a 1024px wide browser window and much wider widths.

http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/jul10/articles/faust.htm

The larger view is designed to sit on top of other page elements, so it's unusual that the righthand wing ads would have overlaid the larger image.

What size screen, platform, browser make and version, and window width were you viewing in?

cheers,
ian G
