Editors Papillon Drums new
      #852942 - 11/08/10 01:34 PM
Hi,
It's taken me an age to finally get into 'In this light an on this Evening' but now that I finally get it, I'm really loving the sounds created on this. From a bit of research it seems a lot of the Synths are Roland Juno and Moog based Cool I have those bases covered with plugins.

One thing which does jump out at me is the drum sounds on Papillon they are really rather great.

Do any of the experts on here have some ideas on what is used for these sounds. I'm guessing as a Flood production it's probably something analogue layered with maybe samples or a real kit.

Well, you've got a kinda electronic modernised gated snare type thing there going on - take a snare you like and add gated reverb, and tweak, eq and filter to taste.

Great song - have you seen this guy doing the entire song on a Juno 1?

Thanks guys,
That vid is pretty damn good, I have a Juno VSTi so I may have a play to see if I can conjour up the drums on that, wich TBH never crossed my mind..
