Ultimate stage piano...
      #860198 - 09/09/10 02:03 PM
I'm wanting to get the 'best' available stage piano for an upcoming tour. All I need it to do is sound and feel like a real acoustic piano, I'm not fussed about rhodes or clav sounds etc.

I presently own a Nord Stage, which I like except for its wayward velocity curve with many sounds (still better than many other stage pianos in this regard though...). I will be trying out the Roland V and the Yamaha CP1 soon but am wondering if anyone has already directly compared these and has any thoughts...

The V-piano is amazing, but if you want a great piano sound (for live use anyhow!) and a keyboard that feels great, not to mention much better portability!, then the RD-700GX, IMHO, is a great stage piano!
