audio score audio as midi? new
      #875297 - 16/11/10 05:38 PM
hi guys

can anyone suggest a fairly painless way to auto (or semi auto)score an audio performance reliably as midi?

Im thinking in specific terms of using a bass plugin such as trillian to double or replace a live, mono audio recording.

I use Logic studio for the majority of my work with protools LE for the odd bit of editing but will happily invest in another piece of software if it'll get the job done.

anything you could suggest would be greatly appreciated as im not having much joy with logics audio to score function.

thanks,

Remo

You can also do it with Melodyne if you can't get Logic's audio-to-score to do it for you...

You can only do it in the standalone version (ie not the plugin version) but yes, once Melodyne has analysed the track and displayed it as blobs, you can edit it and just do a straight export as midifile operation.
