Ultrasone PRO 900 headphones
      #881704 - 14/12/10 02:05 PM
Hi everyone! I'm gonna buy headphones and I heard somewhere Ultrasone PRO 900 headphones are much better for mixing than Sony MDR-7506 or 7509. I need your opinion. Best regards!

Wasn't a huge fan of them myself. Check out the headphone shootout from SOS a few months back, where they didn't fair so well:

The Ultrasone 900's are more for the hifi market... But I have a pair of Ultrasone Pro 2500's which both me and my mate rate above his Sennie HD600's. If SoS had tried those in the headphone comparison thing, I'm sure they would have faired far better than the 900's did... The 2500's are no longer available though, the 2900's are the replacement although they appear to have only had minor changes.

I hated the Ultrasones. Not that keen on the MDR-7506 either, the 7509 is much better.
