I thought it was OK actually, as nostalgia trips go.
He has got a fairly
consistent sound across recordings of very different vintages, and the times and pitches
sit together (with a couple of exceptions) without feeling bent out of shape. Which is
creditable. No-one is saying he got a first class honours, but he has demonstrated well
enough that he knows how the buttons in his studio work.
Not up to the
amazing Kutiman's standards (remember this:
The Mother Of All Funk
Chords ), but I'd give him a pass mark. Come on, you miserable gits, it's not that
bad.
However, the picture of the record sleeve promising a 16 minute remix
of 'I feel love' was frankly terrifying.
