Sorry to ask such a basic question but I'm out of touch with Hardware synths due to doing everything ITB.
However a songwriting friend of mine, using a very basic computer recording software, (Audition i believe) wants a keyboard to give him access to sounds . Piano, strings, Bass, and synthy pads etc. He doesn't play at all really so no issues with wheighted keyboards and such,
One other requirement was that it interfaced with the computer via USB.
Of course any extras like onboard sequencing and basic tracking would be great but it needs to be simple. ....really simple.
Budget £250 ish.

I'd send him into a store but he'd just get baffled and will not really articulate his needs. (like i have here )

The Casio CTK-7000 might be worth a go.
