.wav on macs new

Hi
Does anyone know if its possible to transfer .wav files on to a mac? The reason I ask is because I have a digital recorder with a usb port so that you can transfer wha you have recorded on to you computer and then edit it easier. It records in .wav and mp3 formats. I'm not sure if I would have to convert the files somehow from .wav to .aiff first.
Any advice would be appreciated.

.Wav is fully compatible on a Mac.

Many modern Mac software packages (Pro Tools for example), are able to import WAV-files without problems. So there's no need to convert your files to AIFF first to make them Mac compatible.
