Kontakt does not receive MIDI when hosted by Nexoe Resampler
      #905939 - 04/04/11 08:46 PM
I am about to start rehearsals for a tour and the following issue has seriously setback my intentions to sample parts of my string libraries and get these samples into the RAM of my keyboards for live use. Help!!

I want to use Nexoe Resampler to host Kontakt (which I understand it should do). My problem is that Kontakt is just not receiving any MIDI when hosted by Resampler. While Kontakt does appear and I can hear its sounds by clicking on the keyboard at bottom of window there is, as I say, no response to MIDI.

Kontakt works like a dream for me when hosted by Cubase or in standalone mode. And all other VST instruments (except BFD actually) work fine when hosted by Resampler. I notice that when I open 'options' in Kontakt (from Resampler) the MIDI and AUDIO boxes are completely missing.

If anyone has any ideas at all that might help please reply! Thanks.

Have been corresponding with founder of Nexoe about this... He's just written a fix to sort the problem. How's that for service?! Thumbs up for Nexoe!

Indeed - another thumbs up from me for them as well then

Looks like it was a very specific problem that needed addressing by the software developer himself.

@starman999

Hello! I'm curious after a year how you are doing with Nexoe's Resampler? Is it working out for you ok? I am on the fence about buying it and am trying to collect some thoughts of other users. Currently I use "Extreme Sample Converter 3" for sampling programs from Kontakt and Emulator X. It works pretty well so far, but am curious if Resampler provides any significant improvements.

Thanks!
