These beatz just aint tuff enough.

You got the programming, but they sound like they come out of a workstation, not a MPC or something.

If you have a piano riff, if its not sampled , you need to know how to get it to sound as if it is, with eq, compression, a bit of vintage fakery.

Good luck with it all, but you need to toughen up.

for sure, gotta play around with some more effect VSTs and figure out how to lose that "fruity loops" sound and get these to hit harder; definitely know what you mean
