Excellent, but the very first microphone I looked up, Brauner Phantom C, Is described as a
'Tube' mic. Which it isn't! In fact it describes it as a tube mic. Then FET! Doh!  Love the idea of the site but I'm hoping none of the other info is as misleading.

With such a huge and complex database it's not surprising that occasional sillies like
this can happen -- I've found a few myself over the years.
However, there is
a facility on each page to report any errors and the webmaster is extremely responsive in
checking the facts and correcting them when necessary.
In the case of the
Phantom C, I note that the icons across the top denote the correct type of mic. It is only
the 'manufacturer's blurb' that is incorrect -- probably a cut and paste error! I have
reported the error for you.

Gee thanks Hugh! Feel like a bit of a stickler for pointing it out in the first place now!
 And a
bit of an idiot for not realizing there was a function for reporting errors in the first
place! It is a great site though. Particularly finding it useful comparing
specs side by side.

It's been fixed already!
I said he was responsive, but even I'm impressed with
it being sorted on a wet Sunday afternoon!
Brauner is also now listed as
Brauner and not under Dirk Brauner.

Nothing else to do on a wet Sunday I guess!
That's great! Couldn't find Brauners at first, I wondered why Neumanns weren't listed
under George Neumann!

The 'Dirk' listing was because that was how he first started marketing the mics. As the
range and popularity grew they became better known as 'brauner' but the mic-data site
wasn't updated to reflect that until I mentioned it today.

Yes, its up and its working normally. I've
just created a new user account and it all worked fine for me.
It is important
to activate the account from the email message that you are sent when you register, and in
some email clients the link doesn't always wrap nicely. So you might have to enter the
entire activation URL into your browser manually.

Without wanting to labour the obvious, are you sure that the two
email entries are identical and that the format is legitimate?

Yes, intriguing, indeed... I registered, waited for the registration email,
which never came. So I went to the site, registered again, and it said that the email had
already been registered. So it instructed me to change the password on log-in screen. So I
tried that, and it tells me that the account is inactive. But I still have not rec'd any
activation email at all...mmphmm. I also tried just logging in, and it says the account is
inactive...
