I have the following setup:
PC running Win 7 32bit
MOTU MIDI Express 128 (4 pieces)
NI Kore 2
NI Maschine
Cubase 5
I´ve installed the M.Audio Venom MIDI driver and one of the MOTUs became inactive. It appears in Cubase Device manager correctly, but it does not recieve nor transmit any MIDI data (the same with Venom btw.). When I uninstalled the M.Audio driver it did not helped, still no reaction. The only solution was to recover the Windows installation and it is working again.
The same situation happend with Korg MS20 legacy controller, but there is one difference the MS20 LC does not work at all and does not appear in the Cubase device manager and again one of the MOTUs is inactive.
There are no conflicts in Windows device manager, all MIDI devices appear on the list, but neither Cubase nor standalone applications do not opperate them.
Are there any limits in Win7 in number of MIDI devices? 34 MIDI OUT/INs seems to be maximum for me
the Win XP
10 MIDI defice fix is not possible under Win 7.Thanks for any help
