Hi everyone,
does anybody know how much is a 2006 Nord Rack 3 valued, please? I
cannot find one used anywhere on the net...?
Thanks.

What exactly do you want to know mate? Ive owned two in the past. Both rack versions.
Ive never understood with the Nords the keyboards go for £400 more. Not worth
the extra at all.

thanks kolakube, I own one at the moment and I might sell it due to a set-up upgrade
so I am interested in finding out what is its value on the market at the moment. I did a
search but I could only find 2 selling in the U.S. for about 1000$? Thnaks.

Sorry fella I could tell you re US values but am quite clued up in the UK.
Around £500 - £750. There quite sought after and rare(ish) items.

No probs fella.
You will get upwards of £650 to a max of £750 if there is no
more to be had at that time (IE the only one on Ebay/ SOS readers adds) and £500 if there
are multiple.
Basically the old supply and demand rule applies. Nord Leads no
matter if 1, 2 or 3s have always been held in high regard.
Personally I found
the Nord Lead 3 to be a very digital and thin sharp short of sound. You say that and
people immediately think this is an offensive description.
It isnt, I just
mean its a superb tool if you want cutting type leads that shriek through the mix.
I would defiantly have another one but trying to steer clear of gear lust. lol

thanks a lot for the your answer. I found it very helpful.
I agree with your
comment.
I also own a Juno 106 which I love as I really like the sounds you can
come up with, especially the lower end of the frequency scale. I think I will stick with
that, hardware wise, at least for now and use plug-ins for other instruments. :-)

I have a Juno 6 mate so I know what you mean. Totally different type of sound from the
Nord lead 3. At propper opposet ends of the scale with the sound they make.
For me If I were short of cash or space VSTs are a great way to go but I dunno,
something about hardware excites me is a geeky way. I love touchy feely.
For
me hardware requires a learning period of around 3 months generally to even scratch the
surface where as VST are instant. But them I find with VSTs I use many of them as one
huge rompler. I never ever seem to program them as opposed hardware.
As such
im not sure I could ever go 100% VST.
Mind the 106 hasn't such a learning curve
and is even more instant than any VST. Very limited in what it does being a simple one osc
synth but what it does actually do its amazing at. Superb fat analogue sound too. A
beauty!
