I had the opportunity to record and film a gypsy jazz trio a couple of
weeks ago. It was just a quick live session planned for the purpose of filming a few
tracks for online promotion.

www.vimeo.com/24429325I chose to use ribbon mic's on the guitars. They are just budget SE R1's but actually
work quite well. I tested them up against AKG 414 ULS mic's but the ribbon sound seemed to
suit this style. The AKG's ended up as a stereo spaced pair of room mic's. All recorded
through a TLaudio VTC into ProTools.
