Emagic MT4 & Alesis Midiverb 4 set up problem

Hi, I have been clicking around SOS for a while and have finally decided to sign up

My reason for posting is the problem I have been having with configuring my gear.

I have spent quite some time just trying to get the MT4 to work correctly (I think it is now anyway) whenever I open logic 9 the MT4’s patch LED switches to USB mode and when I hit either play or record I can see the midi in/out lights flashing I just can’t seem to do anything useful with it.

If I am correct, I should be able to have a reverb setting on one song, and when I open another, the settings for that project should load automatically to the alesis? but i have no idea about the bit inbetween how is this supposed to be configured? should the midiverbs parameters show in track automation?

Can anyone help?
