Pitch shift stereo mix
      #924685 - 05/07/11 04:41 PM
Hi,

What is the best tool/product to pitch shift a stereo mix, and how much can it be shifted?

I am running the latest Logic ... will the pitch shift facilities in Logic give as good quality as a Melodyne product for instance ... or is there some other product which will give a shift with no artefacts?

Thanks

Actually I meant stereo BACKING mix.

Years ago I did some songs for a childrens publisher, and they have now decided ... years later ... that some of the tracks were too high for kids to sing comfortably. They have not actually stipulated HOW high, but I would imagine a tone max.

I have lost the original Logic files and also the equipment I have now has changed dramatically from those times.

I need to lower the existing audio backing tracks to accommodate the publisher, otherwise it's going to be a difficult job to try to exactly replicate the original data backings.

I notice that there has not been a huge response to my question, but please chip in.
Thanks

I'd use iZotope Radius, Serato PitchnTime, or Melodyne Studio's polyphonic algorithm, in that order...
