I am trying to get and my Mbox Pro 2 to work with Logic 9. I installed the core audio
driver for Mac 10.6. The power light on the Mbox was flashing at first but now it isn't
which isn't a good sign. In the Digidesign Core Audio Manager the Mbox won't show up and
in system preferences I have 'Mbox Pro 2' under other but it can't find the Mbox.
I am running Macbook Pro with 10.6.8.
also, I would like to start
again, how do I unistall the drivers that haven't worked from my HD?

First job is to check if the Mbox is recognised by your mac in "About this Mac/more
info/USB"
If its not there, replace your cable and try again.
If no
joy, then your Mbox is faulty.
If it does appear, then you should be able to
select it in the Sound preferences.
If you can do this, you can test the MBox with
any audio and if all good then the Mbox is fine.
To use the Mbox with Logic,
you must either :
1) Install Protools and the correct Digidesign Core audio driver
( OS & PT version )
or
2) Download and install the Digidesign STAND-ALONE
core audio driver. ( again for your OS )
This 2nd driver is for systems where
PT is not installed.
Dont install it over a PT installation or you will not be able
to run PT because when you install a Digidesign core audio driver, it automatically
removes the older files.
After a reboot, you should be able to load Logic and
select your Mbox form the audio prefs in Logic.
