Orange Vocoder - PC? new
      #935083 - 18/08/11 10:23 AM
Are Prosoniq owned by Apple or something? They dropped support for PC and I have been waiting, A LONG TIME, for an updated version of Orange Vocoder which actually works properly in Cubase. It's a bloody fantastic vocoder, and it's well receieved, so, IMO, it's a missed opportunity if they don't sort one out!!!

Any better / similar options?

According to their site :

http://www.prosoniq.com/windows/

you are right out of luck Peter. I've just gone for the freebie TAL vocoder and it's a lot of fun. I like vocoders, but am not a connoisseur so YMMV...

Another reason why I like to keep hardware around. A JP-8080 might cost a bit more but it'll survive a platform switch or an O/S upgrade. Decent vocoder too.
