Garage band instruments cannot be found in Logic 9

I have just upgraded to Loic 9 from Logic 8. I am having a problem where the EXS24 cannot see some sampler files from Garageband. It seems to be the choirs but may be some others. If I try to load the classical ensemble it states that the audio files cannot be found. I can find them and so can Garageband so why can't Logic. The file names seem to match. What is even stranger is that sometimes it does find them but I can't find a pattern. Anybody else had this problem?
I have been in touch with Apple but no luck so far.

Usually this kind of thing happens when your Spotlight indexes are corrupt.

Try searching for some of thoese sample names in Spotlight - does the search find them, and find them quickly, or not? If not, try trashing your Spotlight indexes and re-indexing - that usually brings the EXS24 sample loading back up to speed.
