Fast Track Pro, Win7 64, Pro Tools 9 Awful Self bulit PC terrible problems. DCP Checker sky high
      #940994 - 15/09/11 12:40 PM
Hi all,

I've been struggling with this problem for a while now. Since upgrading to Win 7 64 bit.

Using M Audio's Fast Track Pro sound card i've noticed and read many other people suffering with the same terrible POP's Clicks, digital distortions, cackles ect on the M Audio Forum.

I am a bit of a novice with PC techie stuff and previously updtaed to 64 bit win 7 from a pretty stable XP 32 version on a seperate HArd Drive.

Anyhow, i now think there could be a problem with set up or compatability somewhere.
Just to note i have built this PC for soley Music Production. Running Pro Tools 9, Record/Reason. ( no internet or anything else)

(on my windows 7 64 system disk ) Running a DPC checker seems to idle quite high between 300-500 with odd irreverent spikes hitting the yellow.

When i load up Pro Tools 9/ or Record DPC checker goes through the roof!!!!!!!!!!!!

( on my old XP system disk same motherboard and components connected ) DPC checker runs low very low in comparison.

When i load up Record DPC seems to find no problems.

I will post my system details here and also a screen shot of DPC checker for My Win7 64 system drive running through my hardware and if anyone can help that woulkd be good.
I'm happy to visit a PC technician who can assist with this if anyone is in the manchester area.

Hope you can help a man about to through himself into the Canal..

King Regards,

Paul
