What's the strange log drawing on Gretsch 6120s scratchplate? new
      #942098 - 20/09/11 08:53 AM
Just ogling old guitars I could never afford, sigh. But what's the strange log like drawing on the scratchplate of old Gretsch 6120s all about? If it is indeed a log? I've Googled and Googled to no avail. You get a sort of scruffy flag thing saying Nashville with what looks like a glowing stick behind it, drawn by a small child. Anyone know about this?

I believe it's meant to be a (admittedly old style) signpost.

Blimey, did they get the office cat to draw it? Is there some quirky bit of legend to excuse such a shoddy bit of design?
