For some time now I've been using vanilla debian squeeze, with just a pre-built RT kernel
- unfortunately I can't remember where I got it from now

Although it's a bit of a bother, I then just dragged in all the music apps I wanted and
left out the crap.
Open DAW has been rather a disappointment. Last time I tried
it (2010 sometime) it wouldn't recognise my graphic card.
A lot of people swear
by Arch Linux, but again it requires you to put together the bits you want, and as long as
my current setup does what I want I'm not inclined to change it!
Sadly, Linux
for musicians seems to actually be moving away from ordinary users. Fine if you know what
you're doing, you can set up a DAW that will fly and knock spots of just about everything
else. For the average muso, not so good

It wasn't me!
(Well, actually, it probably was)
