LENOVO x121e - best on the move ableton solution?
      #946019 - 08/10/11 05:23 PM
Sorry that probably sounded a bit obscure. I wondered if any of you might be able to help.

Im going to be backpacking for a year and want to bring a laptop to use whilst as i move around. Laptop needs to be small, durable, under £500, and capable of running Ableton 7 (nothing to big -about 10 tracks with a few ableton effects)off the internal soundcard(with asio). Thinking of buying the lenovo thinkpad x121e(customised spec below) as a no frills laptop to run ableton.

Has anyone bought this machine and used ableton on it? Any dpc latency issues?

If not, can anyone recommend an alternative, or better, solution for the criteria i've mentioned?

Intel Core i3-2357M Processor (1.3GHz, 3MB L3, 1333MHz DDR3)1
Genuine Windows 7 Professional 6412
11.6" W HD (1366 x 768) LED, Anti-Glare, Low-light sensitive VGA Webcam, Heatwave Red (w/WWAN)
Intel GMA HD Gfx 3000, Intel Core i3-2357M ULV Processor (1.3GHz, 3MB L2, 1333MHz DDR3)
6 GB PC3-10600 DDR3 SDRAM 1333MHz SODIMM Memory (2 DIMM)8
No Fingerprint Reader
320 GB Hard Disk Drive, 7200rpm

WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE SOMEONE'S ADVIC£ ON THIS.
