hi, i am setting up my first home studio and would like some advice plz. i have cubase installed on my pc but no sound is coming out. can anyone help?

Hi felixhamill! Welcome to the SOS forum.

Umm...think you might have to provide some more details here. What audio interface(s) do you have...? Are you able to get sound with other applications...? What driver have you selected in Cubase...? Have you tried importing a simple audio file and playing it back...? And why did you post this in the least obvious category on the board?

BJ, In the absence of a newbies section, where pray would a theoretical, musical, songwriting composer post?

But yes Felix as BJ says, much more information needed. Can you play sound out of the pc at all, cd, 'tube, radio? If so how?

Did you install Cubase? If someone else did it they should have left a "template" track and want their arse kicking.

Look on the Cubase disc and find "Additional Content" that will have tutorials and music samples for you to play.
