HD 1080p Monitor / TV for DAW?
      #949189 - 25/10/11 12:58 PM
Hi,

I'm looking to buy a new monitor for my DAW and came across a Hanns G 28" LCD Full HD 1080p monitor / TV for £200 new :-

Should I be wary about using this in my studio for my DAW?
Are there any issues that could possibly arise from using this such as interference etc?

Thanks for the reply.

I'm considering either getting that or this 27" monitor :-

What would be the better option?

I'm not sure what all the specs mean.

You should probably consider how close you are going to sit from it. If it's the standard 50cm or so distance, anything over 21" might be a hindrance rather than a help (as your eyes can't take in the whole screen at once).

Just take note of the refresh rate rate (Hz) - some brands allow higer rates than others and this may affect compatibilty with the graphics card...
