Behringer WTF!? new
      #957821 - 08/12/11 09:33 AM
It's not the first of April, yet...

http://www.geeky-gadgets.com/behringer-unveils-8ft-long-30000-inuke-boom-s peaker-dock-08-12-2011/

I think it's actually real, I just had a press release about it.

Thoughts?

Cheers!

Chris

Looks crazy. Shame that the picture is only a CG mock up. Need to see a photo of one really to be sure if it is real!

They're unveiling it at the CES next year (I hope they have a big enough veil!). The CES, of course, being the show where the world was first introduced to the "Tazer that's also an MP3 player!" I kid not! I suppose that's so you can listen to some nice, relaxing Kenny G while you tazer people...

I thought it was so you could tazer yourself while listening to Kenny G as a kind of aversion therapy...

I'd buy one of those...

Atari Teenage Riot seems the most fitting stuff to stick on there.

I thought they were still around?

There's an entertaining YouTube clip somewhere of them playing at a riot in Berlin. I think if you search for 'Atari Teenage Riot riot' you'll find it.

Cheers!

Chris

I would have thought it would cost around £800.00? lol.
Maybe they are working on the basis that someone, somewhere will buy a few.

It will keep Uli in Stollen and Gluehwein over Christmas.

I suppose it's similar (but in a different league) to the jarre technologies aerodream one, http://www.jarre.com/aerodream-one-ipod®-iphone®-dock-speaker (any dock that needs a ladder is pretty cool in my book ) but it's over 300,00 euro (you do get 2 vip concert tickets though)

why would you want an i pod dock that you need a bloody stepladder to even plug it in

and the last time i listened to an mp3 on my hd650s on a ipod it just sounds s!it so it must sound like that x 10.000.

I love that link above!!

It says on the website you can pre order and states "Will be delivered 6 months after placing the order"

hmmm so what happens if you upgrade from your shiny iPhone4 upto a 4S and some of the features are not supported by your 20 foot docking station.....

Is it iPad compatible?

Also surely something that massive, if it exists, will be so resonant in itself that it'll vibrate your iPod to death?

B&W ruse new [Re: bernie33]
      #958151 - 09/12/11 02:53 PM
This is just a ruse by B&W. Their ad for their own product which appears above the monster (in my browser, today, at least) just looks all the more appealing! And the B&W is way less pricey, too.

That would be a very, very, smart move by B&W.
It would be really cool if that`s the fact.
