New hard drive for MacBookPro
      #959024 - 14/12/11 09:28 PM
Any recommendations for a first generation MacBookPro 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo?

It comes with a measly 120GB drive and only 2GB RAM. Looking on the crucial site it doesn't list anything over that. Is it possible to upgrade to 4GB and maybe a 320GB drive?

Depending on the exact model you can either upgrade to 3 or 4 gig, and yes most definitely can upgrade the hard drive.
I haven`t the details to hand but you can get a 500 gig drive for it or possibly bigger since I last checked.

Ah! I've found the 4GB kits now..

Any idea where best to look for a decent hard drive for audio?

I have the same model MBP, and it can only take a maximum of 3Gb RAM.. As Oktafish says, there was a generation of this model that can take 4Gb I think, but if yours is an early one then you should check before trying to fit 4Gb.
