Trouble with youtube display
      #959403 - 17/12/11 04:03 PM
Firefox 8.0.1 XP SP3

Hi - I hope this isn't so trivial as to not warrant a post in SOS ... apologies if it crosses the line ...

When I watch youtube vids, and hit the little "full screen" icon on the bottom right, though the display window goes full screen, the window stays black. I continue to hear the sound, but no video is visible. If I then hit "escape" on my keyboard, it goes back to the original "small" display, and I can see the video again.

I went through "Tools" in FF, but can't see anything that might affect that. Does anyone know where the control for that display might be?

[Edit: I just tried it in IE Explorer 8 as well, and have the same problem. I guess that eliminates this as a browser issue, and narrows it down to a youtube, or XP, control?]

Thanks so much -

R-click on the video window in YouTube. Choose Settings. Go to the first tab: Display. Turn off Hardware Acceleration.
