Just read the excellent review of the RND Portico plugins in the December issue (http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/dec11/articles/rnd-plug-ins.htm), and I read right at the end that the reviewer only found 2 EQ plugins that come close to the Portico one.
I know another one in addition to Flux Epure & the Sonalksis - DDMF's excellent 6144 EQ

I agree it's a good review. I personally found the EQ to be about 90% there compared to the hardware unit. The compressor was about 85% the same as the hardware. If you can't afford the hardware, it's a great option, but honestly, there are a lot of good sounding EQ and compressor plug ins out there. There is some weight added with the hardware that the plug in lacks. In addition the feedforward-backward mode on the hardware adds something a little extra that the plug in lacked. But they got this plug in as good as Waves did with the API plug ins.
