Good headphones for tracking dance music new
      #963803 - 13/01/12 11:38 AM
Hey All,

So just wondering if anyone can recommend some good headphones for writing and arranging (I do my mixdowns on my Adam A7X's). Once I have my parts down, I often get into the arranging and refining process on the couch with my laptop and a set of cans, but at the moment im using very uncomfortable DJ headphones which are also quite ear fatiguing.

My ideal requirements are:

* Comfortable and ideally closed back
* Good for dance music without being too over hyped in the bass region (I make Nu Disco rather than dubstep anyways!)
* Under 100 quid (around 50 or less would be ideal, but id go above that for the right pair)
* Dont require a headphone amp to sound decent or loud enough (I have a duet 2, though mostly when im sat on the couch im lazy and plug straight into the headphone socket of my macbook pro
* Obviously as high quality and as detailed as I can get for my money

cheers,

Justin
