good pricing structure for what they offer..... but it's quite basic. Not sure about their
monitoring - not really mastering speakers in my books but at that price I have no issue
with it. Try them out !!! for that money it's gotta be worth a punt.....

online mastering studios in most cases offer free sample, It's a good idea to check
out how it really works and how your music could be improved

What an annoying
website though! Thoroughly over-designed, with the stuff you WANT to read in tiny text in
a small window requiring fiddly scrolling.

They seem not to actually list their prices which makes it a little awkward
to gauge
against budget. EDIT: sorry it is there afterall.
Well go on preview
results, best way, unless you have had specific recommendation.
cheers

Honestly I feel like I could do a $45/track mastering job myself. That's not to say the
studio isn't good, but you never really know what you're getting when you work with an
unfamiliar party over the Internet. Now while it's true that you're average Joe with a
home studio will certainly not have the skills or resources to be a professional mastering
engineer, I find that my limited skills work well enough for my releases. In other words,
how much better will their job be over yours for the money?

There is but one way to find out. remember 45
is a merely a number it does not necessarily reflect on the result. I like to think I
provide mastering at a quality point above what I charge.
But your advice is
right Peter, be aware of who you deal with online, check for the equipment, engineer
experience, engineer name, are acoustic controls in place? - recent client lists, some
mastering examples on site at least show the engineer is confident in what he does. Apply
common sense and of course get a free mastering preview which almost everyone in the <=
£30.00/track bracket is doing. It will often be a relationship you are building with
someone as well and not only tonal work that is being performed, there are certainly
elements of quality control to be considered and also service.
When assessing
the previews, match perceived volumes with the original track and listen on a wide range
of systems as it is not beyond the realms of possibility that some aspects of mastering
(i.e. control and balance of very deep low frequencies) can be missed on some smaller
reproduction systems. And just because the engineer is operating online why not phone and
have a quick chat about your project? See if the engineer gives you a good first
impression and knows his/her stuff. You will soon sort wheat from chaff.

Well to be honest the chances of someone on here having had a bass heavy electro track
mastered by that exact company was pretty slim. You have been provided with a lot of good
information.
Good lucking seeking a service that suits you.

I've sent them all the files, we can close this thread...Barry, (at least I
believe this is your name) you might be a nice guy, but gosh you are a patronising
creature! Good luck to you too

I don't expect Barry will get an apology for that last ill-judged remark, but he can rest
assured that anyone reading the thread will see that he has provided cogent advice to the
OP at no expense, and that it is not his attitude that should be questioned.

Thanks for the wish of luck, we all need that from time to time. However in professional
pursuits I find skill and accuracy of monitoring is of greatest importance. I appreciate
your kind words Andy.
