Why has Rick Ross' label's site got all of his music up for free?

http://maybachmusic.net/?mmg=rick-ross-musicRick Ross'
label (Maybach Music Group) has a site with all of his music up there for free. I don't
understand - why is this? How come his label is giving all the music out for free when you
can (and surely supposed to) buy it all on iTunes etc? Thanks.

they seem to be doing it with all of their acts. Likely 360 deals and looking to make
money in other areas...... or maybe sales aren't strong and they're attempting to catalyse
something.

Because nobody wants to buy it? I guess it is there for promotional purposes at the moment and the offer will be
discontinued in due course.

Ross sells records, they're mixtapes, you can't officially sell them.

'Teflon Don' for example is not a mixtape. They aren't all mixtapes. Some are on iTunes.
Some are mixtapes yes but not all of them. I'm guessing they'll be removed once his new
album comes out.

Because of clearances? In that case you can't give them
away either..... not that that stops anyone

Many artists are giving their music away in the hope of getting gigs which make more
money, especially if you "were" Deacon Blue. Where will the desperation end
