Just found a Rola-Celestion G12h
      #968579 - 06/02/12 04:27 PM
I've just cracked open an old wedge monitor that's been lying round unused for years and found a 16ohm Greenback inside. Woohoo! (I think).

I've not followed the discussion on this subject for some time but suspect it might be worth something to someone, despite not being 'pre-Rola'.

Can anyone enlighten me further on this driver?

It's worth about £1....

Should I send postage stamps, or would you prefer a Lottery Scratchcard?

Hey, don't knock it. A pound's a pound.

Cheers, Zen.

Hi shufflebeat

Celestions can be dated by their serial number serial number

I found one myself about 10 years back, and only rediscovered it 4 years ago. I posted here

It make sound OK but I've no idea if its the right sound, I've not managed to value it or used it much either.

Before aquiring the deep wisdom I'm now blessed with I took apart two cabinets with 4x 10" Celestions in each which used to belong to my ould fella, destroying the contents in the process.

We live and learn.

Spyder, I've finally had a look at that post. V interesting. I'm in discussion with #2 son who reckons he wants to hunt out a little power amp and stick them in a box together.

We shall see. Listen out, you may hear the KBooomMMMM !!.
