Recommendations for electronic kit to be used with SD2.

Hello,

I'm looking to see if anyone could recommend an electronic drum kit to use with Superior Drummer 2.0. I notice that the more samples a kits has the more expensive it seems to be. I am looking for something that focuses more on the triggers and not so much the samples since I plan to use it solely with Superior Drummer. What have people found to work well? I'd like to spend less than $1000US. Thank you in advance for the help.

If you are using software then why not start with something like this http://www.thomann.de/gb/alesis_trigger_io.htm (only trigger to midi/usb no internal sounds ) then combine it with some pads (could look 2nd hand for roland ones.

You can then make sure that you are getting the pads that you want. If you can try out the pads first then you will know if they are right for you.
